Neurodevelopmental support initiatives launched in Cuba and Mexico
The Rosa Luxemburgo Neurodevelopmental Center in Cárdenas, Cuba, marked its 24th anniversary with a scientific conference focused on neurosciences and pediatric rehabilitation. During the event, Dr. Jorge Rodríguez Fernández presented research on training comprehensive rehabilitators for children with neurodevelopmental disorders, while Dr. Alina Rodríguez Gou delivered a presentation on autism and neurodivergence to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment.
In Mexico, the DIF Campeche system is organizing the ‘Fashion Show 2026’ to support children with autism. The charity event, scheduled for October 21 in Campeche and October 22 in Ciudad del Carmen, involves designers Jesse Martínez Caamal and Víctor Cab. The initiative has attracted over 300 aspiring models from Campeche, Quintana Roo, Tabasco, and Yucatán, as well as dozens of volunteer makeup artists, to raise awareness and support for the cause.
