Neurofest 2026 to host neuroscience events at USACH

The Neurofest 2026 scientific outreach event will take place on September 4 and 5 at the Universidad de Santiago de Chile (USACH). Co-organized by USACH, the Universidad de Chile, the Chilean Neuroscience Society, and Fundación Axion, the festival focuses on themes of learning, feeling, thinking, healing, and transforming.

Key activities include the premiere of 'Constelaciones Neuronales: Tu cerebro en crecimiento,' an immersive short film at the Planetario USACH that explores concepts such as synapses, brain plasticity, and neural networks. The event also features the III Neuroscience and Artificial Intelligence Conference, book launches, and various scientific talks.

Educational sessions will cover topics ranging from mental health and bipolarity to the use of psychedelics in antidepressant treatments. The festival aims to provide an interdisciplinary approach, bridging the gap between neuroscience and other fields, while addressing the differences between biological nervous systems and artificial intelligence.
