Neuromeka CEO donates 5 billion won in shares to POSTECH

Jong-hoon Park, CEO of robotics company Neuromeka and president of the POSTECH Alumni Association, has signed an agreement to donate 5 billion won worth of company shares to Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH).

The donation will be executed in installments over five years, starting in May 2027, involving 170,000 shares of Neuromeka common stock. Half of the funds, approximately 2.5 billion won, will be directed toward the construction of the ‘POSTECH 2.0’ educational district, a complex research and living space scheduled for completion in 2029. The remaining funds will support general educational and research development initiatives.

Beyond financial support, the agreement aims to foster industry-academic cooperation. Neuromeka is considering utilizing portions of its new factory and headquarters near the Pohang Yeongilman Industrial Complex as collaborative research and internship spaces for POSTECH students and researchers.
