Neurophysiology explains why the brain triggers fear during new challenges

Neurophysiologist Francisco Díaz García explains that the human brain is biologically wired to anticipate potential threats, which often triggers fear when facing new or uncertain situations.

From an evolutionary perspective, Díaz García notes that it has been more beneficial for survival to possess a brain capable of anticipating a possible threat rather than waiting to confirm if a danger is real. This defensive mechanism can activate an alarm response even when an individual is fully capable of handling the task at hand, such as changing jobs or public speaking.
