Neurosurgeon Alexandru Vlad Ciurea to lecture at Suceava University

Professor Alexandru Vlad Ciurea, a prominent Romanian neurosurgeon and member of the Romanian Academy, is scheduled to visit the Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava on October 2, 2026. The visit is part of the ‘Excellence, Vocation, and Culture’ event.

Professor Ciurea, who has performed over 23,000 surgeries, including more than half on children, will deliver two conferences. The first, titled ‘Per aspera ad astra’, will focus on vocation, perseverance, and career building for students and the academic community. The second conference, ‘Genius Constantin Brâncuși – 150 years since his birth’, will be a public lecture dedicated to the renowned Romanian sculptor.
