Neuss man sentenced for knife attack on 15-year-old

A 51-year-old man from Neuss has been sentenced to two years and ten months in prison for a severe attack on a 15-year-old girl. The incident occurred in October 2025 in Norf, where the assailant followed the victim from a bus stop, held a knife to her throat, and demanded silence in Russian. Although the victim escaped, she sustained injuries to her neck and arm and continues to suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder.

An appeal has been filed against the initial sentence, with the Düsseldorf District Court scheduled to hear the case on September 30.
