Nevada Commission holds hearings for Holloway, Pimblett, and Steveson
The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) is scheduled to hold disciplinary hearings this Wednesday regarding post-fight celebrations at UFC 329. Fighters Max Holloway, Paddy Pimblett, and Gable Steveson face potential fines or the withholding of their fight purses after leaving the Octagon to celebrate their victories.
Pimblett’s manager, Graham Boylan, has criticized the regulation, stating that the rule “does nothing to support” the sport and calling for the application of “common sense.” The commission has strictly enforced policies regarding cage exits since 2018, following an incident involving Khabib Nurmagomedov and Dillon Danis.
The hearings follow a high-profile card at the T-Mobile Arena where Holloway defeated Conor McGregor. Holloway has also addressed comments regarding McGregor’s physical condition following the bout, dismissing claims that the fight was a “generational beating.”
