Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University showcases 350-piece art collection

Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University (NEVÜ) has assembled a comprehensive art collection and gallery that displays roughly 350 works. The exhibition spans abstract, portrait, contemporary and installation pieces across six sections within nearly 2,000 m² of display space. An international selection of 100 works, contributed by 40 universities from 15 countries, is also featured in the gallery’s lower level.

The collection was visited by Doç. Dr. Cem Gençoğlu, President of the Ministry of National Education’s Talim ve Terbiye Board, accompanied by Rector Prof. Dr. Semih Aktekin and Gallery Director Doç. Dr. Savaş Kurtuluş Çevik. Gençoğlu emphasized the centre’s value for students, academics and the region’s cultural visibility, while the rector highlighted NEVÜ’s role as a natural‑and‑cultural‑heritage tourism university and its collaborations with schools.

Both officials described the collection as a significant resource for multidisciplinary education and a showcase of Turkey’s cultural engagement on an international level.
