Nevşehir shooting suspects arrested after fatal attack
Three suspects have been arrested in Nevşehir following a fatal shooting in the Güzel Yurt neighborhood. The incident occurred in a business parking lot on Zübeyde Hanım Street after a telephone dispute between the victim, 50-year-old Levent Ç., and the suspects.
According to reports, Yusuf Ç., Ahmet Enes Ç., and Rahman A. arrived at the location and opened fire from their vehicle without exiting. The suspects then fled the scene in a vehicle with its license plates removed. During a patrol, police officers became suspicious of the plate-less vehicle and stopped it. While conducting identity checks, officers heard a radio announcement regarding a nearby shooting, leading to the immediate detention of the three occupants.
Levent Ç. was transported to Nevşehir State Hospital by a private vehicle but succumbed to his injuries despite medical efforts. Investigators recovered five empty shell casings at the scene. The suspects have reportedly confessed to the crime and remain in custody following instructions from the public prosecutor.
