Nevena Bozova opens up about early motherhood, father's death and 18‑year marriage split

Bulgarian actress and reality‑TV personality Nevena Bozova‑Neve discussed her personal hardships on the bTV programme “Life in Real Case”. She revealed that she gave birth to her first daughter Magdalina at 18 while studying at NATFIZ and placed the child with her parents in Varna, later visiting her on night trains. Bozova described the day she learned of her father’s death, the journey to the funeral in Lukoovit and Varna, and her return to Sofia to honour a scheduled stage performance, noting a personal ritual of mentioning his name before each show.

She also recounted the psychological strain of playing a betrayer on the reality series “Traitors: Game of Traitors”, saying she could not fully inhabit the role and felt “broken” by the experience. Bozova finally disclosed the reasons for her 18‑year marriage ending with producer Krasimir Vankov, citing growing personal, aesthetic and moral differences and a desire to protect her children’s wellbeing. The split was especially hard on Magdalina, who had been raised primarily by Vankov. Bozova now focuses on painting as a therapeutic outlet.
