New adaptive sports programs launch in Argentina and Spain
New adaptive sports programs have been launched in Argentina and Spain to promote inclusion for people with disabilities.
In Córdoba, Argentina, the Municipality of Córdoba and the Córdoba Lawn Tennis Club have established a free wheelchair tennis school. Operating through the club’s ‘Escuela de Tenis Sin Límites’, the program is open to all ages, genders, and economic backgrounds. Training sessions are scheduled for Mondays at 12:00 and Saturdays at 17:00. Interested participants must register in person at the Polideportivo General Paz and provide documentation including a national ID, disability certificate, and specific medical evaluations.
In the Campo de Gibraltar region of Spain, the organization Apropadis 2.0 has introduced a new boccia program. Held at the CEIP Santa Teresa gymnasium in Algeciras, the sessions take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 17:30 to 18:30. The program provides necessary equipment and specialized support to help participants improve physical coordination, muscle strength, and social integration through this Paralympic precision sport.
