New autobiographies released by Luisa Rossato and Novella Calligaris

Two new autobiographical works have been released in Italy, focusing on personal resilience and life experiences beyond public personas.

Luisa Rossato has published ‘La mia Vita’ through Aletti Editore. The book, which originated from her personal diaries, explores themes of overcoming a difficult childhood and illness. Rossato describes the writing as a therapeutic process intended to share her life lessons and spiritual connection with nature with her children.

Novella Calligaris, the first Italian woman to win an Olympic swimming medal, has released ‘Pulce – La mia vita tra le onde’ via La nave di Teseo. Featuring a preface by Sandro Veronesi, the memoir moves beyond her athletic achievements to discuss her personal struggles, including family relationships, the loss of a brother, and her battle with bulimia.
