New Balance and Bleue Burnham announce 991v1 sneaker collaboration

London-based designer Bleue Burnham has collaborated with New Balance to create a limited-edition version of the 991v1 sneaker. The design is inspired by the Flimby Garden, a space created for employees at New Balance’s Flimby factory in Cumbria, England.

The sneaker features brown suede and sage green laces, with colors and textures derived from the factory garden. A notable design element is the ‘wild garden’ contrast stitching, which is applied freehand by makers, ensuring that no two pairs are identical. The 991v1 model originally debuted in 2001 and features Abzorb cushioning for shock absorption.

The Bleue Burnham x New Balance 991v1 is scheduled for release on September 12, 2026.
