New Balance announces new 990v7 and 991v2 footwear releases

New Balance is expanding its premium footwear lines with the introduction of the Made in USA 990v7 and the Made in UK 991v2.

The 990v7, a refinement of the silhouette originally introduced in 1982, features pigskin suede, breathable mesh, and leather accents. It incorporates updated FuelCell cushioning and a new TPU midfoot shank for enhanced support. A marketing campaign for the release includes figures such as Rosalía, Josh Allen, Cooper Flagg, and IU.

Additionally, the Made in UK 991v2 “Turbulence/India Ink” will be released on November 1, 2026. Part of the Elevated Neutrals pack, this model utilizes a dark color palette consisting of deep blue suede, fuzzy grey overlays, and a black waffle mesh foundation. The sneaker is priced at $250.
