New Balance launches Stone Island Abzorb 1890 sneaker and teases 1954R runner

New Balance and Italian apparel brand Stone Island released the collaborative Abzorb 1890 "Deep Forest" sneaker as part of their Summer ’026 capsule. The shoe draws on 1990s football culture, featuring a mesh‑and‑synthetic upper, a vintage 2002 Abzorb sole, and contrasting "N" logos. It is priced at €250 and available through New Balance and Stone Island online stores and selected retailers.

Separately, New Balance previewed an upcoming model called the 1954R, described as a mash‑up of the Abzorb 1890 sole, the 2010 upper design, and the 1906 plastic heel cage. The prototype appears in a flat grey/black color scheme and is expected to launch in summer or fall 2026, with an estimated price around $160.
