NEW bauhaus festival to host construction innovation summit in Weimar

The NEW bauhaus innovation festival is scheduled to take place on September 2 and 3, 2026, at the Weimarhalle. The event expects over 400 participants and features more than 60 contributions and panels involving experts from the construction industry, politics, science, architecture, and culture.

Key themes for the festival include social transformation, new construction methods, artificial intelligence, and housing challenges. High-profile speakers include Thuringia's Minister President Mario Voigt, climate researcher Prof. Hans Joachim Schellnhuber, and KUKA Systems EMEA CEO Timo Heil. Dr. Olaf Joachim, State Secretary in the Federal Ministry for Housing, Urban Development and Building, is set to open the event.
