New books on leadership and public life launched in Santo Domingo

Two new books were recently presented in Santo Domingo, focusing on professional leadership and Dominican public life.

Communicator and image consultant Mariano Abreu released “El Código de la Huella” at the Biblioteca Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña. The work is a business fiction novel consisting of 250 pages that uses six corporate stories to explore themes such as crisis management, interpersonal conflict resolution, and professional positioning. Each chapter includes a “Test de Auditoría de Huella” to provide practical application for the leadership and strategic coherence discussed in the narrative.

Journalist and consultant Víctor Bautista presented “El poder y el ruido” at the Mecenas Centro Cultural Mirador Sur. The book is a collection of micro-essays that offers a critical observation of Dominican public life. Bautista describes the work as a journalistic and forensic look at the “imperfect republic,” aiming to encourage critical thinking and context in response to the information saturation and simplification prevalent in contemporary public discourse.
