New bus services launched in Segarra and Priorat regions
New public bus services have been launched in the Segarra and Priorat regions of Catalonia to improve local mobility and connectivity.
In Segarra, a new regular bus line (number 502) has begun operating between Guissona and Cervera. The service offers hourly departures on weekdays, with 12 trips in each direction. The route includes stops in Tarroja de Segarra and Torrefeta, aiming to facilitate connections with train services and other bus lines toward Lleida and Barcelona. The Department of Territory, Housing, and Ecological Transition provides approximately 215,000 euros annually for this service, which is operated by Hispano Igualadina, part of the Monbus group.
In Priorat, a new bus line has been introduced to connect Ulldemolins, Cornudella de Montsant, Poboleda, and Falset. This service aims to link the northern and southern parts of the county, specifically addressing the needs of students and families traveling to Falset for education and administrative services. The service is currently in a trial phase running on weekdays from September 8 to December 21 to assess demand and determine future continuity.
