New bus station and stop reorganizations launched in Spain

Significant changes to interurban bus services and infrastructure have been implemented in parts of Spain. In Barcelona, the definitive configuration of interurban bus stops on Meridiana has entered service. This reorganization aims to improve transport exchanges by creating two strategic areas: Sagrera-Meridiana and Clot. The Sagrera-Meridiana area now distributes lines serving Maresme, Vallès Occidental, Vallès Oriental, and Osona through four departure points between Espronceda and Garcilaso streets. The Clot area concentrates lines destined for Mollet del Vallès, Caldes de Montbui, Sant Feliu de Codines, and Santa Maria d’Oló.

In A Coruña, the Xunta de Galicia is opening a new intermodal bus station. While the train terminal and pedestrian walkway are not yet operational, the bus station is being made available to citizens. Due to the current lack of a functional rail terminal, some buses will stop in front of the train station entrance rather than in designated bays. A provisional stop at Alfonso Molina will be used in the interim, and certain existing stops, such as those at Ronda de Outeiro and Costa da Palloza, are being decommissioned to adapt routes to the new intermodal facility.
