New canine-themed video games announced for PC

Two new canine-themed video games have announced upcoming release windows for PC via Steam.

Rablo Games will release ‘Golden Retriever Simple Life’ in the first quarter of 2027. This FMV pet simulation allows players to interact with a real Golden Retriever named ‘Pichu’. Gameplay focuses on building relationships through activities like walking, playing, and training, which improves various character stats such as affection, happiness, and trust. Players can also collect 100 photos to complete a digital album.

Rotub Games, led by developer Rohan Nowell, has scheduled the release of ‘Doggy Don’t Care’ for September 24, 2026. Described as a 3D comedy adventure, the game tasks players with playing as a pug named ‘Charlie’ who causes mischief around the house while owners are away. The game features five interactive environments, including a farm and a museum, and includes over 100 ‘mischief badges’ to collect. The project received funding from Screen NSW and Screen Australia.
