New cash point opens in Belsele

A new CASH point has opened at the Belsele Sporthal in Sint-Andriesstraat 5, Belsele. The facility features two ATMs that allow any citizen to withdraw cash and change PIN codes, regardless of their bank. Customers of Belfius, BNP Paribas Fortis, ING, and KBC can also check account balances and use additional card services.

The location was selected based on accessibility and high foot traffic. To ensure inclusivity, the ATMs are equipped with voice guidance systems for the visually impaired, relief-patterned keyboards with Braille, and wheelchair-accessible designs.

Security measures include privacy screens that darken when headphones are connected, shielded keyboards to prevent shoulder surfing, and mirrors above the screens to monitor the area behind users. The site is under 24/7 camera surveillance, and helpdesk information and Card Stop procedures are clearly displayed for user assistance.
