New Castle, Delaware to host community resource and missing persons events

Two distinct community events are scheduled to take place at the New Castle County Route 9 Library in Delaware.

On October 1, Delaware Probation and Parole will host a Community Resource and Job Fair. The event aims to connect community members, particularly in the Wilmington area, with essential services. Features include on-the-spot job interviews, meal and clothing distributions, and various community resources provided by local government and non-profit partners.

On October 24, the Delaware Division of Forensic Science, in collaboration with New Castle County, Wilmington, and Delaware State Police, will hold the state’s inaugural Missing and Unidentified Persons Day. This event is designed to support families of missing individuals by providing access to forensic agencies, advocates, and DNA testing services. Eligible biological relatives may provide DNA samples to assist in the identification of unknown remains.
