New childcare facilities launched in Betschdorf and Montpellier
Construction has begun on a new intercommunal nursery in Betschdorf, France, managed by the Communauté de communes de l’Outre-Forêt. Once completed, the facility will provide 36 places for children aged 0 to 3. The project aims to address the declining number of childminders and support local attractiveness by providing proximity-based childcare for young families.
In Montpellier, UNAPEI 34 is developing 'Les P’tits Loups,' an inclusive childcare project located in the Croix d’Argent district. This initiative will feature a 50-place mixed nursery, where approximately one-third of the spots are dedicated to children with disabilities. The project also includes a specialized kindergarten for children awaiting placement in specialized institutions and a mobile support service (SESSAD) to assist families and professionals.
