New CMEI Aurora Lopes Wernick to Serve 80 Children in Araucária, Brazil

The municipality of Araucária, Brazil, will open a new early‑childhood education centre named CMEI Aurora Lopes Wernick on Rua Codorna, 64. The 892.21 m² facility is designed to accommodate more than 80 children aged 0 to 3 and will include five classrooms, a kitchen, dining hall, lactarium, nursing room, diaper changing area, teachers' lounge, storage, a covered patio and an outdoor recreation space.

Construction is funded through a commitment with the National Fund for Education Development (FNDE) and Caixa, with the procurement process for the building contractor currently underway. Once the contractor is selected, a detailed delivery schedule will be set for the local community.

The project aims to expand public childcare capacity in the densely populated Capela Velha neighbourhood, improving access to early education for families in the area.
