New commercial developments underway in La Bañeza and Vilanova de Arousa

Construction is progressing on several commercial projects in Spain. In La Bañeza, work on a new Lidl supermarket is moving forward, with completion expected by early 2027. Located on La Vega street near the N-VI highway, the 2,318-square-meter facility will include a 1,309-square-meter sales area and 110 parking spaces. The project is expected to create at least 16 jobs and includes urban improvements to the surrounding area.

In Vilanova de Arousa, the construction of a new commercial park has officially begun. The complex will span 20,000 square meters of rentable space and is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2028. The development is projected to generate approximately 600 jobs, including 450 direct and 150 indirect positions. Confirmed tenants for the site include Vegalsa-Eroski, Sprinter, JYSK, McDonald’s, and Fitness Park. The park will feature three distinct areas: a central plaza with medium-sized retail units, a large food supermarket area, and a dedicated dining section.
