New community and service organizations launch in Italy

New community and service organizations have been established in Italy to bolster local social support and solidarity.

In Siderno, the Rete MoVI-Comunità della Locride Odv was presented. Led by President Stefania Velardo and Vice President Sonia Patti, this network aims to unify various local organizations to prevent fragmented interventions. The network includes diverse entities such as Linfovita Odv, the Angela Serra Odv association, and Special Olympics Team Calabria. Its mission covers a wide range of social issues, including healthcare access, elderly support, disability inclusion, and assistance for victims of violence.

In Palermo, the Lions Club Palermo Mondello has officially launched with 33 founding members. Under the leadership of President Nadia Lo Bosco, the club intends to combine traditional Lions International service values with modern, innovative community engagement. The club focuses on developing projects that support local excellence in craftsmanship, culture, and business while generating resources for charitable works.
