New creative and maker spaces open in Seattle and Montreal

In Seattle, GO’C Studio has completed a new independent ceramics studio and classroom located in West Seattle. Designed for a Dene Suline ceramicist, the light-filled structure serves as a dedicated space for shaping and firing clay. The project aims to provide a functional environment for both professional production and teaching, addressing the scarcity of spacious ceramic workshops in the city.

In Montreal, the community DIY workshop LESPACEMAKER is scheduled to reopen on September 26 following a three-year expansion project. After securing public and private funding in 2023, the organization transitioned from renting to owning its building. The new facility spans over 38,000 square feet, doubling its previous size and allowing for 50 creative spaces and more than 20 shared fabrication workshops. The reopening will be celebrated during the Libre Cours event.
