New culinary destinations open in Bandung and Tangerang Selatan

New culinary developments have emerged in the West Java and Banten regions of Indonesia. In Bandung, affordable dining options such as Mie Sapi Merona have been highlighted, offering premium beef noodle dishes starting at Rp 15,000.

In Tangerang Selatan, the MITTE Bintaro culinary center officially opened on October 24, 2026. Located in Ciputat, the venue combines modern architecture with communal spaces. The establishment has committed to local employment, with approximately 90 percent of its workforce consisting of residents from Tangerang Selatan. The opening was attended by local officials, including Mayor Benyamin Davnie and Minister of MSMEs Maman Abdurrahman, with the goal of boosting the local creative economy and supporting small businesses.
