New cultural facilities to open in Mafra and Azeitão
Two new cultural infrastructures are set to open in Portugal this November.
The Azueira Cultural Center in Mafra is scheduled for inauguration on November 7. Located in Livramento, the multifunctional facility was developed by the Municipality of Mafra to support local traditions and community life. The center will house the headquarters for the Associação Musical Nossa Senhora do Livramento and the Rancho Folclórico do Livramento, alongside an auditorium, rehearsal rooms, a library, and exhibition areas.
In Setúbal, the Azeitão Municipal Auditorium will open to the public on the night of November 13. The facility, which cost over 1.7 million euros for construction and equipment, has a capacity for approximately 300 people. The opening event will feature a video installation by João Bordeira, followed by a diverse program of concerts and cultural presentations.
