New cycling and wheeled sports facilities open in Spain
New cycling and wheeled sports facilities have been inaugurated in two Spanish municipalities.
In Prats de Lluçanès, the Unió Ciclista Lluçanès has opened the Bike Park de l’Escoleta. Designed to help children learn and enjoy cycling, the facility includes 12 trial zones of varying difficulty levels, such as a rock garden, located on Mestre Pecanins street. The project was developed following the association's previous trial school on Pau Casals avenue.
In l’Alcora, a new pumptrack has been added to the Ciudad Deportiva. The installation, which cost 47,190 euros, features a course of curves, banked turns, and elevation changes designed for bicycles, scooters, and other wheeled activities. The project is part of the l’Alcora Creix investment plan, a strategic program with a 5.5 million euro budget for the 2026-2028 period aimed at improving sports, public spaces, and green areas.
