New dark-themed simulation games announced for Steam and consoles

Two new simulation-style video games featuring dark humor and management mechanics have been announced or detailed.

Happy Volcano and Oro Interactive announced ‘Grave Mistakes’, a cooperative horror-comedy scheduled for release on Steam in late 2025. The game allows up to four players to manage the ‘Good Mourning™ Funeral Home’. Players must balance respectful funeral services for grieving families with secretive, macabre tasks in the backyard, such as body preparation and feeding a mysterious entity in the basement.

Additionally, details have emerged regarding ‘Graveyard Keeper 2’, a sequel to the 2018 title developed by Lazy Bear Games and published by tinyBuild. Set in a medieval fantasy world, the sequel tasks players with managing a cemetery and rebuilding a town while dealing with a zombie outbreak. The gameplay involves dissecting bodies, managing burials, and utilizing zombies as a workforce to automate production and assist in combat.
