New Delhi art scene features major September 2026 exhibitions

New Delhi's art scene features several major exhibitions throughout September 2026. GAP Contemporary, formerly known as Gallery Art Positive, has launched ‘The Still Life of Sentiments’, a curated exhibition by Priyanshi S. The show utilizes a 5,000 sq. ft. space designed as a domestic environment, integrating contemporary art with furniture, books, and lighting to explore the relationship between art and everyday living.

Other notable showcases in the capital include:

• Vadehra Art Gallery’s ‘Women on the Edge of Time’, featuring eight South Asian artists including Anju Dodiya and Arpita Singh.

• LATITUDE 28 presenting a solo exhibition by Sri Lankan artist Pradeep Thalawatta titled ‘Between Dust and Distant Skies’.

• Anant Art Gallery’s ‘Phantasms’, a solo exhibition by Thamshangpha ‘Merci’ Maku exploring memory and identity.

• Akar Prakar’s ‘Becoming’, a group exhibition marking the opening of the gallery’s new space in Defence Colony.
