A viral video showing employees washing large cooking utensils on a toilet floor at New Delhi Sweets in Korba, Chhattisgarh, has triggered a food safety investigation. The footage, recorded by a customer, shows staff cleaning items inside a restroom area, sparking widespread public concern regarding hygiene standards.

During an inspection by Food Safety Officer Sangharsh Kumar Mishra, the outlet's operator claimed the practice was an emergency measure necessitated by a recent disruption in the water supply. Despite this explanation, officials have issued an improvement notice to the establishment. The eatery has been directed to rectify its washing arrangements within two to three days, with authorities warning that failure to comply could result in the suspension of its food license.
