New Delhi Tigers suffer consecutive losses in Delhi Premier League

In the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026, the New Delhi Tigers suffered two defeats at the Arun Jaitley Stadium against Purani Dilli 6 and the North Delhi Strikers.

Purani Dilli 6 secured a 27-run victory over the New Delhi Tigers. Owner Akash Nangia praised the team's resilience following a previous loss to the Central Delhi Kings, highlighting Aryan Gaur's innings and the bowling unit's discipline. Former cricketer Harbhajan Singh attended the match to support the franchise.

In a separate match, the North Delhi Strikers defeated the New Delhi Tigers by seven wickets. After restricting the Tigers to 161/8, the Strikers chased the target with five balls to spare. Captain Sarthak Ranjan led the chase with 65 runs, supported by a 102-run opening partnership with Vaibhav Kandpal. Vikas Dixit was the standout bowler for the Strikers, finishing with figures of 3/28.
