She specifically contested SYRIZA's calculations regarding student benefits, noting that providing 500 euros to 80,000 students for ten months would cost 400 million euros annually. Furthermore, she claimed the opposition has shifted its stance on housing, moving from a promise of 50,000 new homes to a focus on renovating existing properties.
Regarding the government's own agenda, Sdoukou emphasized that the administration aims to increase disposable income for the middle class and self-employed. She noted that while external factors like the energy crisis and conflicts in Ukraine have pressured incomes, the government must operate within strict European fiscal rules and spending ceilings.
