New Democracy Leads Greek Marc Poll by 14 Points as Karystianou’s Party Slumps

A Marc poll conducted from 20‑23 July 2026 with 1,178 respondents (±2.9% margin) shows New Democracy (ND) solidly ahead in the Greek electoral landscape, recording 30.8% of voting intention. The party leads the second‑placed Greek Left Alliance (EL.A.S.) by a 14‑point margin; EL.A.S. holds 16.8%. PASOK remains third with 11%.

The poll records a notable decline for the Hope for Democracy movement led by María Karystianou, falling from 10.5% in the previous June survey to 7.4%, a loss of roughly three percentage points. Smaller parties stay below the 3% threshold, with MERA at 3.1% and others such as the Victory, SYRIZA, Spartans and Demokrates each below 2%.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the incumbent Prime Minister, is still viewed by respondents as the most suitable candidate for premier, receiving twice the approval of the nearest rival. About two‑thirds of those surveyed consider a New Democracy victory in the next national elections likely, though many differentiate between a win and an outright parliamentary majority.
