New developments in Italian viticulture and wine heritage
In Tuscany, the Antinori Chianti Classico winery continues to integrate viticulture with contemporary art through the Antinori Art Project. Launched in 2012 by Alessia Antinori and designed by Marco Casamonti, the project features site-specific commissions from national and international artists. The latest installation, ‘Sampling the Vineyard’ by Armin Linke, utilizes sculptural imagery to engage with the vineyard landscape and the winemaking process.
In the Veneto region, the Consorzio Tutela Vini Asolo Montello has inaugurated its new headquarters at the Ex Fornace in Casella d’Asolo. President Michele Noal stated that the modern facility, which includes administrative offices and training rooms for masterclasses, serves as a functional hub for the community of viticulturists, processors, and bottlers across 18 municipalities. The move aims to support the collective economic interests of the region's wine production sector.
