New digital and food innovations aim to improve nutritional habits
New health and nutrition initiatives are emerging to bridge the gap between professional dietary advice and daily habits.
NUTRIMI, developed by nurse and biologist Diego Russo, is a digital ecosystem designed to connect patients with healthcare professionals. The system consists of an Android app for individuals to track meals, weight, and activity, and a web portal for verified professionals to manage dietary plans, questionnaires, and follow-ups. The goal is to provide clinicians with organized, patient-authorized data to ensure continuity between medical visits and daily life.
In Cesenatico, the brand ‘Puro Cibo’ is launching an initiative to increase vegetable consumption through 100% plant-based powders. Founded by food technologist Alessia Benini and nutrition scientist Edoardo Tosi, the project aims to make eating a variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs easier for people with busy lifestyles. The products are made by slowly drying raw materials at low temperatures to preserve natural color and aroma, without added sugars, preservatives, or additives.
