New digital platforms launch to connect African talent with employers

Two new digital initiatives are launching to facilitate cross-border recruitment and specialized hiring across the African continent.

Workistry is hosting a five-day virtual job fair from October 26 to 30, aiming to connect one million candidates with 200,000 jobs. The event targets human resources professionals and recruiters to help businesses access talent beyond local markets. Participating countries include Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Senegal, Cameroon, Angola, Zimbabwe, and Côte d’Ivoire.

Separately, Trax Jobs is entering the market to connect technology professionals with specialized roles. The platform focuses on fields such as engineering, design, marketing, data, and artificial intelligence. To ensure quality, Trax manually verifies all job postings, company details, and talent profiles. The service aims to reduce reliance on intermediaries by enabling direct communication between employers and candidates via email or WhatsApp.
