New dining establishments to open in Joetsu and Shin-Yokohama

Two new dining establishments are scheduled to open in Japan in September 2026.

The Parkside Cafe will open on September 19 in Joetsu City, located on the first floor of Patio C, facing Joetsu Mirai Park. The cafe will serve open sandwiches using bagels from the local bakery Boulanger M, made with domestic wheat. The menu also includes coffee from Myoko Coffee and homemade sweets. Additionally, the cafe will serve as the management office for Joetsu Mirai Park, providing information and handling lost property.

Kanpeki Bakushu Hanten is set to open on September 26 within Brewery Base Shin-Yokohama in Yokohama. This second location for the popular Monzen-nakacho brand operates under the concept of a Chinese tavern created by beer enthusiasts. The menu features dishes that incorporate beer as a seasoning, such as fried chicken with a black beer and black vinegar sauce, and a specialized Mapo Tofu designed to be paired with the bitterness and carbonation of beer.
