New disability care facilities open in Sitges and Xove

New facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities have been launched in Spain. In Sitges, the Ave Maria Foundation has reopened its day center following expansion works at its campus. The facility provides 15 authorized places and aims to reduce the need for residents in the Garraf region to travel outside their area for specialized care.

In Xove, Lugo, the Aspanane Association inaugurated a new residential center featuring 50 places. The project was funded by the Amancio Ortega Foundation with a 14 million euro investment. The 4,000-square-meter facility includes areas for residential care, administration, nursing, and rehabilitation, built on land provided by the Xove City Council.
