New England collegiate sailing teams begin fall season

Collegiate sailing teams across New England have begun their 2026 fall campaigns with results from several key regattas.

At the Harman Cup hosted by Maine Maritime Academy, the Tufts University coed sailing team secured a second-place finish among eight teams. This performance, combined with their results at other events, has qualified them for the New England Match Racing Championships. Bowdoin College took first place at the Harman Cup, while Boston University finished third.

At Yale University, the Yale sailing team placed fourth in the Harry H. Anderson Jr. Trophy. The team also competed in the Pine Trophy at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, where they finished second, trailing only Brown University.

Brown University saw success at the Bears Invite, winning the one-division competition. Meanwhile, at the Harvard Invitational, Brown University also took first place, with Tufts University finishing second overall.
