New England Patriots Adjust Roster Ahead of 2026 Training Camp
The New England Patriots announced several roster moves as training camp approaches. Defensive end Harold Landry and undrafted tight end C.J. Dippre will begin camp on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, while running back Terrell Jennings was placed on the non‑football injury list. Both players can be activated at any time during the summer.
In addition, the Patriots signed former Boston College tight end Jeremiah Franklin as an undrafted rookie free agent after he impressed coaches at a tryout during minicamp. Franklin joins a depth chart anchored by veteran captain Hunter Henry and rookie Eli Raridon. Earlier in the offseason, the team placed Julian Hill on season‑ending injured reserve and designated Dippre for PUP status.
Last season, Jennings served as the team’s third‑string running back after Antonio Gibson’s ACL injury, recording 73 rushing yards and one touchdown in seven games. Dippre appeared in two games as a rookie backup tight end. The roster adjustments aim to solidify the Patriots’ roster health and depth heading into the 2026 season.
