New England Patriots make multiple roster moves and practice squad announcements
The New England Patriots have executed several roster adjustments following the NFL 53-man roster deadline. The team claimed tight end Cameron Latu from the Philadelphia Eagles and linebacker Darius Muasau from the New York Giants via waivers to bolster depth. To accommodate these additions, the Patriots released linebacker K. J. Britt and vested veteran center Ben Brown.
Additionally, the team placed punter Bryce Baringer and linebacker Khalil Jacobs on injured reserve. Baringer, who has appeared in 51 games for the franchise, is expected to be eligible for return after a minimum of four games.
The Patriots also announced their initial practice squad, which includes 12 members. Notable additions to the practice squad include veteran punter Mitch Wishnowsky. The squad features several players who competed during training camp, such as running backs Hassan Haskins and Lan Larison, as well as wide receivers Kyle Dixon and Cameron Dorner.
