New England Patriots eye roster improvements amid slow season start

The New England Patriots are navigating a challenging start to the season, prompting discussions regarding roster improvements and player development. Quarterback Drake Maye has identified the need to start games more effectively, noting a focus on finding early completions and taking what the defense provides to build momentum.

On the defensive side, rookie edge rusher Gabe Jacas has emerged as a standout performer, recording six tackles, a sack, and an interception in the first two games. Tight end Eli Raridon has also contributed, recording the team's only passing touchdown thus far.

To bolster the roster, the Patriots have been named among the potential suitors for Las Vegas Raiders defensive star Maxx Crosby. Should the Raiders decide to move the disruptive defender before the November trade deadline, New England is considered a candidate to pursue him to strengthen their defensive front.
