Patriots host Steelers for Week 2 NFL matchup

The New England Patriots host the Pittsburgh Steelers at Gillette Stadium for a Week 2 NFL matchup on Sunday, September 20, 2026. The Steelers enter the game with a 1-0 record following a 20-13 win over the Atlanta Falcons, while the Patriots are 0-1 after a 13-10 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Key storylines include the performance of Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, who is looking to recover from a three-interception game, and Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Both teams face significant injury concerns: New England will be without wide receiver A. J. Brown, and Pittsburgh is missing wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. and cornerback Joey Porter Jr.

Weather forecasts indicate a high likelihood of rain in Foxborough, particularly during the second half of the game, with temperatures expected to be in the low 60s. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff and will be broadcast on CBS.
