New England Patriots Look to Trade Wide Receiver Kayshon Boutte

Wide receiver Kayshon Boutte has expressed interest in being traded from the New England Patriots after the team added A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs, creating a crowded receiver room. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Boutte has not participated in voluntary offseason activities and is open to a move this summer.

Boutte, a sixth‑round pick from LSU in 2023, has one year left on his rookie contract worth $3.67 million. In two seasons he recorded 76 receptions for 1,140 yards and nine touchdowns, averaging about 15 yards per catch. Reports suggest the Patriots could receive a fifth‑ or sixth‑round draft pick in return, and teams such as the Las Vegas Raiders and Washington Commanders have been mentioned as possible destinations.

If a trade occurs, the Patriots would further solidify their deep receiver group, which now includes A.J. Brown, Romeo Doubs, Mack Hollins, Kyle Williams, DeMario Douglas and others, while Boutte would seek a clearer role elsewhere.
