New England Patriots sign DaQuan Jones and update injury report

The New England Patriots have signed veteran defensive lineman DaQuan Jones to a one-year contract. The 34-year-old, a 12-season NFL veteran, joins the team to bolster the interior defensive line following an open roster spot created by A. J. Brown’s move to injured reserve. Head coach Mike Vrabel, who previously worked with Jones in Tennessee, expressed confidence in the player, stating, “He’s a veteran interior player that I think still has some good snaps ahead of him.”

In injury news ahead of the Week 2 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, running back TreVeyon Henderson is trending toward a return. After missing the season opener due to an ankle injury sustained in August, Henderson has participated fully in recent practices.

Other Patriots players listed on the Wednesday injury report include Dametrious Crownover (knee) and Carlton Davis (neck), who did not participate, while Ben Brown (knee), Dre'Mont Jones (foot), and Robert Spillane (knee) were limited in practice.
