New England Patriots work out Jamaal Williams amid Stevenson injury

The New England Patriots held tryouts for several players on Tuesday, including veteran running back Jamaal Williams and offensive lineman Cody Ford. Despite the workout, Williams was not signed to the roster.

The team is currently seeking backfield depth due to an injury to starting running back Rhamondre Stevenson. Stevenson, who appeared to limp during a recent game against the Buffalo Bills, missed the team’s first practice of the week. Head coach Mike Vrabel noted that while Stevenson is dealing with an injury, there is still a possibility he will be ready to play in the upcoming game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

If Stevenson is unable to play, the Patriots may rely on TreVeyon Henderson, Corey Kiner, or Lan Larison to handle rushing duties.
