New England rugby finals scheduled in Armidale and Uralla

Rugby union and rugby league finals are scheduled to take place across the New England region in Armidale and Uralla.

At Bellevue Oval in Armidale, the rugby union preliminary finals will feature several matches on Saturday, September 5. The Armidale Blues first grade side has already secured a spot in the September 12 grand final following a 41-5 victory over Albies. The upcoming preliminary matches include Albies facing Walcha for a chance to rematch the Blues, as well as third grade, second XV, and women's 10s fixtures.

On Sunday, the rugby league Group 19 grand finals will be held at Woodville Oval in Uralla, featuring the Inverell Hawks.
